About us

PAELLA is an aromatic Spanish dish of rice, saffron and vegetables, often with a ‘hero’ ingredient like seafood or chicken. It’s traditionally cooked and served in a large shallow pan, known as a paella. Nourishing, vibrant and without pretension, paella has held a place of honour in Spanish homes for centuries and it’s one of the countries most famous cultural exports enjoyed by foodies all around the world.

Holy smokes:

Born in Uruguay, country amongst the top 10 per capita beef consumers in the world, we pride ourselves in being skilled and experienced pit masters.

Woodfire cooking back home is a must in every festivity or gathering, thus we are no strangers to the craft.

We aim to share a bit of our culture, tradition and experience with the beautiful nation of New Zealand, providing a personalised service, abundant meals, and most importantly: serving high quality food!

Cooking meat over fire and hot embers to imprint a unique flavour to New Zealand’s finest produce is our goal and we strive to be renowned for just that!

We hope you’ll love it!

Paella Boys:

After a short break from appearances in food markets we decided to make a comeback to what we enjoy the most: serving people and catering to suit their specific needs with our already famous Spanish cuisine specialty: Traditional paella!

With an already strong presence in the food and catering industry in the Kapiti Coast and around New Zealand, we intend to become more and more involved with our community and become the go to of our neighbours, our favourite people. When planning any event make sure you call us first!

Each Paella meal is being produced and manufactured locally at a kitchen in Petone, and there are 5 favours, all in biodegradable packaging:

Chicken

Seafood

Vegetable

We’ve called ours Two Worlds Paella, because it brings together a delicious old-world traditional recipe and our wonderful new world premium fresh produce.

The first of these were rolled out at the beginning of September 2019 at New World Chaffers (City) on Wakefield Street. They’re now available at selected supermarkets and service stations throughout New Zealand.
